Pixel Astray just got better


New version of Pixel Astray (v0.91) is uploaded! This update brings gameplay tweaks, code optimizations, and bug fixes to enhance your experience.

WHAT'S NEW?

• Improved game performance.
• Screen transitions are quicker.
• Using skills is now smoother and less tiresome.
• The game-start countdown is a bit less invasive.
• Select game and Select Sweeper menus got a nice face-lift.
• Color scheme randomizer is now also available in browser version.

Most of my time in this update was dedicated to the Sweeper game:

• Some levels are redesigned, so they are more puzzle-based.
• Faster transitions between levels (camera zoom only when from home, select-level menu after a failed attempt, ...).
• Highscores ... Sign your name only if you beat the record time.
• Reburst momentum loss is now indicated in the energy bar.
• Sweeper pixel now needs energy for moving around (as in other games). All levels are solvable with a limited amount of moving or using skills.

BUG FIXES

• No more stuck pixels on the grid. Including the player pixel.
• Missing highscore tables are added.
• And various minor fixes ...

FUTURE PLANS ...

I will to continue to develop and improve the game until version 1.0

Here are some of the things I have in plan:
• Lots of new Sweeper levels
• A couple of new game modes
• Make The Duel game obsolete by adding 2-player option to all games
• Better overall game performance is a must
• Online high scores and world records
• Inverted color theme for bright enviroments
• Option to reset user data
• Mobile version (maybe)
• ...
