Eliminate stray pixels, resolve the chroma crisis, and shine bright like a diamond!

STORY

A lone white pixel basked in the glory of owning all the spectrum colors, convinced its brilliance would last forever. But then, the designer got creative and splashed color everywhere! Now, our brave pixel is on a quest to reclaim the colors and regain the one-and-only status!

THE GOOD

• Collect colors from stray pixels with mighty bursts.
• Use skills to move colored pixels or teleport past the whites.
• Arrange pixels into large stacks and collect all with one powerful burst!
• Set cleaning records and see how you rank among
the best in the world!

THE BAD

• Moving drains your energy. Collect colors to keep your energy levels high.
• Crashing into the screen edge or a white pixel costs you a life.
• White pixels are tough. Eliminate them by collecting their neighboring colors.

GAME MODES

Pixel Astray features six game modes, each with a unique twist. They showcase different approaches to the main mechanics. Let's see which has the potential to be the most fun!

• CLEANER is the version of the game like it was originally planned. Unlimited time to clean one big colored mess. Highscore is points total.
• SWEEPER is a puzzle version of the same plot. You are presented with 16 different crisis situations you have to clean, but you must do it with a single sweeping move.
• ERASER has different sized screens with each its own time limit. Highscore is the time taken to get it all cleaned
• HUNTER has stray pixels popping in from nowhere, and DEFENDER has them attacking from all sides. Both game modes are unbeatable and neverending. All you can do is score as many points as possible before you get overrun by the pesky Strays.
• THE DUEL is a two-player version of a HUNTER game mode.

ABOUT

• I began developing it for the GoGodot Jam 4 with the theme "Less is More." After missing the deadline, I used it to learn game development in the following months.
• I still want to fix some bugs, fine-tune the level settings, and add a few features, so stay tuned for updates. After that, I'll officially "call it a game".
• As a newcomer to game development, I truly appreciate any feedback. If it turns out that players enjoy Pixel Astray, I might expand it into a complete game instead of starting a new project.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• If the game isn't running smoothly, your computer might be overwhelmed by the number of stray pixels. Try closing unnecessary windows and apps, or play one of the games with fewer strays count.
• I recommend downloading the game for the best experience. • The Mac version is not available yet. I will address this issue in the following updates to the game.
